Costa Mujeres and Playa Mujeres sit just north of Cancún, quieter than the Hotel Zone, with newer resorts, calm water and mangroves behind the shore. Puerto Cancún, between downtown and the Hotel Zone, has a marina, a golf course and some of the city's most modern condos.

Both are great bases, but they are a drive from the busiest restaurants and clubs, so planning matters. Viviana arranges transfers, yachts from the marina, a private chef at your condo or villa, dinners in town and day trips to Isla Mujeres, which is close by.
